Microsoft Windows 3.1

Microsoft Windows 3.1 was released on April 6th, 1992. This version of Windows introduced to the classic "tada!" startup and the chance to listen to MIDI's or .wav files.

Classic Windows 3.1 bootscreen, which I still had to take from a different website, because PCem wont let me take a screenshot of the bootscreen, it really wouldn't.

Ah yes, my favourite, Windows 3.1 Desktop with a Windows XP wallpaper, luckily this isnt a fresh install so I tons of stuff, still no work programs like Word or Excel.

Don't know what to even say here, but Microsoft Windows is 7 years old and managed to support 16.7 million colors.

This folder group has 2 MS-DOS programs and 4 Windows based applications that you can run.

Windows 3.1 is the first windows version to not include Reversi, but introduces Minesweeper, which at this time, more people were buying personal computers and this program was designed to help people use the mouse. Although Reversi was the first program to do it actually.

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten Solitaire, although I don't know solitaire, so here it is...

In the Accessories, two new programs were added, Character map and Object packager, yeah I don't use them, although those other two programs, Media player and Sound Recorder are my favourite.

The Sound Recorder program works very well, you can listen to .wav and .mid files and also record your own voice! Yeah the emulator wont let me record my voice. The screenshot shows me listening to The Human League's "Don't You Want Me?"

SoundBlaster 16 works very well on Windows 3.1.

Saw a video of Vargskelethor Joel trying out Shareware programs and one of them was color fun. Ngl it is a very fun game.

Thank god I installed display drivers, because if it was the default 16 colors, this Bliss wallpaper, wouldn't look to happy, and Calmira XP works very well.

MS-DOS prompt would not open for no reason at all.

Typing "C:\con\con" would make Windows 3.1 crash, and pressing on Ctrl+Alt+Del, would cause this message to appear.

Shutting down on Windows 3.1. I would also like to add, that I have modified the startup sound and shutdown sound with Windows XP's own startup sound and shutdown sound.
