Microsoft Windows 3.0 Multimedia Extension

Microsoft Windows 3.0 Multimedia Extension was released on October 20th, 1991. Making this the first windows version to support sound.

This is the bootscreen of Windows 3.0 Multimedia Extensions.

The Windows 3.0 MME desktop is completelly different, in the Main folder, it now has a program called "Hyperguide".

This is Hyperguide, it kinda reminds me of Windows 3.1's Help program. You will need the CD-ROM in order to open up the program.

This is Music Box for Windows 3.0 MME, although I really don't have anything to play, I can atleast show it to people.

This is the Sound Recorder which would be also available on Windows 3.1. On the emulator, I cannot record my voice. But if I install it on Virtual PC 2007, it would probably work.

Appreantly what made this version of Windows 3.0 more exciting, is that it can run .mmm files, which to be honest looks like a gif-style animation.

Windows 3.0 MME version. And it seems to be Windows 3.00a, copyright 1985-1990.

Windows 3.0 MME would become the first Windows version to own an Alarm clock program. I never knew this type of program would ever exist in the first place.

Although its just normal Windows 3.0 with audio files and all of that, it still is a very good version of Windows.

I have used this version of Windows before, and I have to say it is the best version ever, oops already said that. Shutting down Windows 3.0 MME.
