This is Windows For Workgroups 3.1, or WfW 3.1 for short. Still couldn't take the screenshot due to PCem, so this bootscren taken from WinWorld will do. WfW 3.1 and WfW 3.11 literally have the exact same bootscreen, only the extra 1 is in the bootscreen.
This is the WfW 3.1 desktop, in the Main window, there is now two programs, Mail and Schedule+.
This is the WfW 3.1 mail program.
This is what the mail program looks like, although I don't have a network card installed, this is just gonna be a boring testing even if the services shut down in 2001.
Very strange, the other applications will work well except Schedule+. Why 2019 specifically? This is the reason: "Attempting to run Microsoft Schedule+ 1.0 with the system clock year greater than 2019 leads to an error due to the software being designed to operate within a 100-year time window ranging from 1920 to 2019."
This is the Accessories window in WfW 3.1. With my two eyes I see three new applications. Chat, WinMeter(?) and Net Watcher.
I want to cry, I cant even chat with nobody!
I am using an 486 processor, but I'd think that sharing isnt enabled, but although the services shut down in 2001, there are probably some people using WfW 3.1 for fun, because one version of WfW didnt lose it support until 2008.
You too? Aw man...
In the Games window, there is a new game that you can play with other people on The Micrsoft Network: Hearts.
It took me like a solid 5 seconds to realise I lost, this is why I dont play card games, except Uno, it can stay.
Forgot to show the about box. Yep that is all correct, and I did lose my Getting Started with Micrsoft Windows book, so I don't know my serial number.
Basic multitasking on WfW 3.1.
Shutting down WfW 3.1.
